symphony admin theme ported to textpattern
9 June 09
Lots of changes coming! I fully realize that mangy portfolio to the right hasn’t been updated in ages nor has this site in general. Expect a complete rehaul soon enough. Amongst finding a new permanent residence to live in September and sorting out postgrad applications I’ll get around to this place somehow.
Anyway I ported the symphony admin backend theme to textpattern as seen here (lightbox image):
I’ll probably alter those side buttons as well but for now I’m happy with it.
Instructions: back up textpattern.css in your /textpattern directory, place this one in there. Upload the accompanied images from txp_img into /texpattern/txp_img and you should be good to go.
Let me know of any wonkiness!

Good work, Steve. I love the Symphony design style, and their clean uncluttered admin.
I also love the way you can adapt the admin UI to the needs of each project, and have often wished something like that was possible for TXP. But hey, TXP has enough good things going for it, so I won’t complain.
Cheers
Lovely, can’t wait to try it! Though, those side tabs have always bothered me ;)
